π Folding Steps
- Step 1: Prepare your paper. Use a square sheet of origami paper. You should choose a paper color suitable for your creation. Place the colored side facing up before you begin.
- Step 2: Create basic creases. Start by folding the paper in half diagonally or straight (as per the diagram) to create a central crease, then unfold it. Make sure to press firmly to ensure sharp creases.
- Step 3: Observe and fold according to the diagram. Based on the dashed lines in the diagram (valley fold, mountain fold), successively fold the corners and edges of the paper inward or backward. Pay attention to keeping the paper edges perfectly aligned.
- Step 4: Shape and finish. Adjust the final corners and edges, gently pull out any hidden folds to add volume or shape to your creation. Re-crease all folds one last time.
