- Step 1: Prepare the paper. Use a square sheet of origami paper. You should choose paper with a color suitable for your creation. Place the colored side facing up before you begin.
- Step 2: Create the basic crease. Start by folding the paper in half diagonally or straight (depending on the diagram) to create a central crease, then unfold. Crease firmly to ensure sharp folds.
- Step 3: Observe and fold according to the diagram. Following the dashed lines on the diagram (valley fold, mountain fold), fold the corners and edges of the paper inwards or backwards, one by one. Ensure the edges of the paper align perfectly.
- Step 4: Shape and finish. Adjust the final corners and edges, gently pull out any hidden folds to add volume or shape to your creation. Crease all folds one last time.
