πŸ“ Folding Steps

  • Step 1: Start with the white side of the paper (or the back if it's single-sided) facing up. Fold the paper diagonally in both directions, then unfold to create X-shaped creases.
  • Step 2: Flip the paper over. Fold the top edge down to the center line and the bottom edge up to the center line, then unfold. Similarly, fold the left edge to the center line and the right edge to the center line, then unfold. You will now have a grid of creases dividing the paper into equal sections.
  • Step 3: Fold both side edges to the center to form a tall, narrow rectangle (a 'gate fold'). Then, fold the top and bottom sections of this rectangle to the horizontal center line.
  • Step 4: At the bottom part of the model, carefully pull and open the layers of paper at the two bottom corners outwards to form two new triangles.
  • Step 5: Completely flatten the sections opened in Step 4. The bottom part is now flat.
  • Step 6: At the top part, perform an inside reverse fold on the two upper pointed corners.
  • Step 7: Using the previously made creases, carefully open the entire model and flatten it into a square shape as shown (this is forming the 'preliminary base').
  • Step 8: Fold the four outer corners of the square towards the center.
  • Step 9: Unfold the layers of paper that were folded at the four corners outwards.
  • Step 10: Completely flatten the sections just opened in Step 9 to complete the shape of the four-legged frog.
