- Step 1: Prepare the paper. Use a square sheet of origami paper. You should choose a paper color suitable for your creation. Place the colored side facing up before you begin.
- Step 2: Create a basic crease. Start by folding the paper in half diagonally or straight (as per the diagram) to create a central crease, then unfold. Press firmly to make the crease sharp.
- Step 3: Observe and fold according to the diagram. Following the dashed lines on the diagram (valley fold, mountain fold), fold the corners and edges of the paper inward or backward, one by one. Ensure the edges align perfectly.
