π Folding Steps
- Step 1: Prepare the paper. Use a square sheet of origami paper. You should choose paper with colors suitable for the artwork. Place the colored side facing up before starting.
- Step 2: Create basic creases. Start by folding the paper in half diagonally or straight (depending on the diagram) to create a central crease, then unfold. Press firmly to make the creases sharp.
- Step 3: Observe and fold according to the diagram. Based on the dashed lines in the diagram (valley fold, mountain fold), fold the corners and edges of the paper inwards or backwards, respectively. Pay attention to keeping the paper edges tightly aligned.
- Step 4: Shape and finalize. Adjust the final corners and edges, gently pull out any hidden folds to create volume or shape the artwork. Crease all folds one last time.
